The RESILAND Kyrgyzstan operates under the umbrella of the World Bank RESILAND CA+ Program, which goal is to increase the resilience of regional landscapes in Central Asia. Established in 2019 the Programme provides CA countries with a regional framework to increase the resilience of their landscapes through landscape restoration. The Program finances analytics and advisory on landscape restoration and supports investment projects in CA countries, glued together by a Regional Exchange Platform for high-level dialogue on disaster risk reduction and landscape restoration. The regional approach of the Program is conducive to regional and cross-border landscape restoration given borders’ susceptibility to land degradation, climate disasters, natural hazards, and poverty.
