National Forest Inventory Execution and Capacity Building

Сarried out within the framework of the State Forest Agency project "Integrated management of forest ecosystems in the Kyrgyz Republic"

• The Second National Forest Inventory was initiated by the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry with the technical support of the project "Integrated Management of Forest Ecosystems of the Kyrgyz Republic", funded by the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility.

GLOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

• Ensuring sustainable development of the forest sector, conservation of biological diversity through the creation of a reliable and up-to-date information database on the state of forests, their quantitative and qualitative characteristics, the introduction of the principles of ecosystem services and adaptation to climate change.
