CAREC Project Office in Turkmenistan

The CAREC representative office in Turkmenistan was created as a project office on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding between CAREC and the National Institute of Deserts of Plant and Animal World of the Ministry of Nature Protection of Turkmenistan, signed on April 25, 2014 (interagency agreement).

Goal

Representing CAREC in Turkmenistan and fulfilling the CAREC mission in accordance with the CAREC Charter.

Objectives

• Implementation of the goals, objectives and strategic directions of the activities aimed at assisting the national partners in the implementation of environmental programs in Turkmenistan;
  

• Supporting the initiatives in Turkmenistan aimed at improving the environment and sustainable development;
  

• Developing the partnerships with the donors for the development of the Branch, programs and projects;
  

• Collaborating with the NGOs, governmental organizations and business entities in the field of environmental protection;
  

• Participating in the development of environmental information networks.
