Tashkent hosts an introductory seminar within the framework of the CAMP4ASB project
March 24, 2017, Tashkent hosts an introductory seminar to identify the needs for climate knowledge, services and capacity within the implementation of the regional components of the Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program for Aral Sea Basin (CAMP4ASB).
There are national partners, participating in the seminar: representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs, higher and secondary education, Emergency Situations Ministry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of State Nature Protection Committees, Statistics, representatives of the Center of Hydrometeorological Service under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and delegates from Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, Research Center of the Interstate Commission for Water Coordination, international organizations and academic communities, NGO and media employees, and others.
The workshop provides main information about the CAMP4ASB project; discussions are conducted on the identification and classification of information needs, data and research on adaptation and mitigation of climate change in Uzbekistan, and on the involvement of stakeholders in the CAMP4ASB project.
