Series of national consultations will be held in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan under the CAMP4ASB project

Introductory seminars will be held to identify the needs for climate knowledge, services and capacity within the implementation of the regional components of the Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program for Aral Sea Basin (CAMP4ASB) on March 14, 2017, in Dushanbe and on March 24, 2017, in Tashkent.

It is planned that the national partners of the project, represented by delegates from state bodies of the countries, as well as representatives of international organizations and academic communities, farmers' associations, NGOs and other participants will take part in these seminars.

There are two main discussion blocks, which will be conducted by the international consultants of the project. The first one will focus on identifying and classifying information needs, data and research on climate change adaptation and mitigation of its consequences in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The second discussion will be about the definition and involvement of stakeholders in the CAMP4ASB project.

The results of the workshops will identify needs for climate knowledge for all beneficiaries of the project at the national level of each country, and discuss options and potential for providing these services at the regional level.
