Final conference on the USAID-CAREC project “Stakeholders partnerships in collaborative policymaking: Fostering transboundary cooperation on small watersheds in Central Asia” 

Almaty, 27 May 2016 – Representatives from a variety of national, regional and international institutions as well as from the donor community, business and academia will meet on 27 May 2016 in Almaty to present and discuss the progress in transboundary cooperation within the project funded by USAID and implemented by CAREC “Stakeholders partnerships in collaborative policymaking: Fostering transboundary cooperation on small watersheds in Central Asia”. This is the final event of the project and it will address the project results, achievements and introduced approaches over the implementation period. 

The conference will kick-off by opening remarks of Mr. George Deikun, Director of USAID Regional Mission for Central Asia and Dr Iskandar Abdullaev, Executive Director of CAREC. The event is featured by plenary session divided into two thematic parts, which include interactive exhibition, Q&A sessions and parallel side events. The second part of the plenary session will be dedicated to the follow up activities and CAREC’s mega projects that envisage complementary activities to this project.
