The third quarter of 2018 was a landmark for the entire region as a whole. In August, for the first time in 9 years, the Summit of the Founder-States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea was held. In September, Uzbekistan ratified the Paris Climate Agreement.
The past period has been very intense for the CAREC team as well. The 9th Central Asian Leadership Program was successfully completed, a report on the results of the Central Asian International Ecological Forum 2018 was released, the first joint meeting of the Small Basin Councils of the Kyrgyz and Uzbek parts of the Padshaata River was held.
