Climate-Sensitive Water resources management

Publication date: 17 April 2026

April 24, 2026, CACCC-2026 will host a session “Climate-Sensitive Water resources management”.

The session directly contributes to the key thematic priorities of CACCC-2026, with a particular focus on bridging the gap between strategic frameworks, policy commitments, and their practical implementation. It will explore pathways for translating regional and national commitments into concrete actions and applied solutions.

The session will also look at the practical examples and approaches that demonstrate how joint data analysis, strategic and cross-sectoral planning, inclusive dialogue formats, and investment-oriented thinking can contribute to building trust and increasing the resilience in transboundary waters context in Central Asia. The regional vision for climate change adaptation in water resources management (Water and Climate Actions) will focus on practical methodologies, mechanisms, and technical solutions that can be adapted and applied at the level of Central Asia.

Recall, CACCC-2026 will take place within the Regional Ecological Summit in Astana, April 22-24, 2026.
