To enhance qualifications and facilitate experience exchange, specialists from the “Sustainable Landscape Restoration in the Republic of Tajikistan” project (RESILAND Tajikistan) participated in the international intensive training course “Public Procurement Management” held in Turin, Italy.
The course took place from September 22 to October 3, 2025, and was organized by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Over 30 representatives from various governmental and international projects responsible for procurement from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa attended the course.
The training covered key topics in public procurement, including:
· rules and procedures for public sector procurement;
· project procurement strategies aimed at sustainable development;
· the relationship between procurement and financial management;
· contractor selection methods and standard procurement documentation;
· evaluation criteria and the use of FIDIC standards in contractual relations.
Participation in the course allowed RESILAND Tajikistan specialists to:
· strengthen their professional knowledge in procurement;
· familiarize themselves with advanced international practices;
· establish professional connections with colleagues from other countries and organizations;
· improve project implementation efficiency through better planning and procurement processes.
The acquired knowledge will be applied in future work to enhance transparency and efficiency in procurement processes within the “Sustainable Landscape Restoration in the Republic of Tajikistan” project.
