Science in One Health invites manuscripts for a Special Issue dedicated to One Health challenges and solutions in the Silk Road nations of Central Asia.
Background
Inspired by the One Health for Pandemic Prevention, Food Systems Resilience, and Ecosystem Health in Central Asia programme (launched in Dushanbe, November 2025) and the inaugural meeting of the Regional One Health Coordination Council (ROHCC), this issue aims to consolidate regional evidence on zoonotic spillover, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), climate change impacts, and transboundary disease surveillance.
Objectives
- Bridge the gap between local research and the global One Health community.
- Showcase innovative solutions from landlocked nations.
- Document regional coordination mechanisms and surveillance systems.
