Participate in SCP Replication Workshop

Publication date: 29 March 2024

On April 26 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) and April 29 in Bukhara (Uzbekistan), the REAP project will hold a Stakeholders Event – Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Replication Workshop.

The REAP project has been successfully implementing sustainable consumption and production (SCP) practices within the Agri-food Micro-, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMES) sector in Uzbekistan.

“To share this success and inspire further on resource efficiency among other MSMEs, REAP project conducting this half-day workshop, aimed at boosting the adoption of these practices across various MSMEs, including those beyond the Agri-food sector,” says Valeriya Orlova, REAP project manager.

Showcasing Best Practices

The workshop will feature successful and easily implementable resource-saving cases that require low-to-no cost, applicable to any MSME. These examples will be drawn from the achievements of the REAP project, providing tangible solutions that can be replicated across different industries.

Highlighting High-Cost Success Stories

Additionally, the event will present success stories of MSMEs that have invested in higher-cost resource-saving options.

Knowledge Sharing

The workshop will serve as a platform for industry associations, project representatives, and MSMEs to exchange knowledge and experiences. Through interactive sessions, attendees will learn from each other's challenges and successes, fostering a collaborative environment for sustainable growth.

Replicator Brochure

As a valuable takeaway, participants will receive the "Replicator Brochure," a comprehensive guide providing SCP implementation measures. This brochure will include practical examples of case studies directly from the REAP project, offering a roadmap for MSMEs to embark on their resource efficiency journey.

The REAP project is implemented by an international consortium under financial support of the European Union. The consortium comprises the National Association of Small and Medium Businesses of Tajikistan (NAMSB), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCIUz), the German Consulting Office adelphi, the Association for the Promotion of Recycling and Environmental Protection in Austria (AREC), STENUM Asia Sustainable Development Society (STENUM Asia), and the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). The consortium is led by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC).
