On April 18, the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia (CAREC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The Memorandum joins efforts and resources to implement the Central Asian Regional Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Program. It also enables effective interaction between the parties, exchange of information and coordination.
“This memorandum will ensure the coherence of common efforts aimed at sustainable development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region,” says CAREC Executive Director Zafar Makhmudov.
The signing of the Memorandum took place during the sixth meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and parliamentarians in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
