How do you write a successful business plan? Learn at the REAP

Publication date: 02 February 2024

Important one-day workshops on the development of sustainable consumption and production (SCP) cells will be held on 2 February in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and 6 February in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) within the framework of the REAP project.

The workshops will be attended by REAP technical consultants and project partners: National Association of Small and Medium Businesses of Tajikistan (NAMSB), Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCIU), German consultancy adelphi, Association for the Promotion of Recycling and Environmental Protection in Austria (AREC), STENUM Asia Sustainable Development Society (STENUM Asia), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). The consortium is led by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC).

At the workshops, participants will jointly develop a comprehensive business plan that will help establish SCP cells at the end of the project. This will contribute to the development of a favourable environment at the national level for the introduction of SCP practices.

The workshop aims to utilise the collective experience to identify key strategies and challenges for REAP's future SCP cells development project. In addition, it will also provide participants with a platform to exchange ideas within the REAP project team. Participants will receive a detailed business plan template, emphasising the importance of individual inputs, which will later be used to create a work plan for the establishment of SCP cells.

The REAP project is implemented by an international consortium (with financial support from the European Union) comprising: the National Association of Small and Medium Businesses of Tajikistan (NAMSB), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCI), the German consulting office adelphi, the Association for the Promotion of Recycling and Environmental Protection in Austria (AREC), STENUM Asia Sustainable Development Society (STENUM Asia), and the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). The consortium is led by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC).
