How Cleantech will be financed in Uzbekistan

JUNE 16 - UZBEKISTAN - BUHARA - A workshop on how to finance Cleantech in micro, small and medium enterprises in Uzbekistan will be held at the Bukhara Hotel, from 9:30 - 13:00

The workshop is organized within the framework of Resource Efficiency in Agri-Food Production and Processing (REAP) project. 

The workshop will involve about 30 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Uzbekistan, working with the REAP project, in key aspects of clean technology financing and specific terminology, as well as in basic ecosystem concepts.

The REAP project works with MSMEs that are integrating sustainable consumption and production (SCP) practices into industry processes and production. The webinar will provide a platform for MSMEs to connect with appropriate financial institutions that can fund the implementation of costly sustainable consumption and production (SCP) tools. In addition, the webinar will provide an overview of the mechanisms by which participants can receive financial support for the REAP project.

REAP project promotes adoption of more efficient production technologies in agri-processing at small and medium enterprises in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. In this regard, the project pays special attention to the promotion of sustainable consumption and production practices in agri-food production in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, which will improve the environment. Project timeframe: 2020-2024.

The REAP project is funded by the European Union in the framework of the SWITCH-Asia Grant Programme and implemented by the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia (CAREC).
