Dear readers,
With a great pleasure, we present to you the first newsletter of the USAID-CAREC Smart Waters project, which contains general information about the project and its fundamental development steps since the beginning of this year.
The project is implemented in six countries - Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan - to form a system that will solve the problem of lack of specialized knowledge in the region. It facilitates the construction of working relationships between specialists of water resources management and experts in the region and demonstrates the basin approach’s potential.
