CAREC participated at the Future Energy Forum in Astana
August 8-9, 2017 the representatives of CAREC participated at the conference "Energy of the Future" - "Energy for All: Challenges of New Time" in Astana.

The event had to promote the international exchange of best practices in the field of sustainable development and clean energy, promote international exchange, discussion and innovation about the present and future of sustainable energy, as well as to develop an international partnership in economics, science, industry and technology
The conference was attended by more than 30 scientists, experts and politicians from around the world to discuss energy issues, cooperation and exchange of ideas. The conference was held by Nazarbayev University jointly with the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and was one of the official events of the Future Energy Forum in the framework of the International Specialized Exhibition “Astana Expo - 2017”.
The sessions focused on the important topics as universal access to clean and affordable energy, sustainable energy and entrepreneurship, sustainable energy and urban infrastructure, challenges of the new time, alternative energy sources, and young leaders' perception.
On the conference, CAREC has presented the activities in the field of sustainable energy, the ongoing regional climate change project - CAMP4ASB, as well as the results of the Energy efficiency assessment of household electrical appliances in Central Asia and policies for energy performance standards and labeling.
