Ashgabat – Turkmenistan – a meeting was held with representatives of Turkmen youth within the framework of memorandum of understanding between the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) and the public organizations "Yash Tebigatchy" and "Tebigi Kuvvat" of Turkmenistan.
The purpose of the meeting is to attract young people to participate in educational programs. Representatives of DKU expressed interest in preparing Turkmen students for the master's program at the Faculty of Integrated Water Resources Management within the framework of cooperation with CAREC.
The meeting was attended by Mergen Kepbanov, Director of the CAREC project office in Turkmenistan, and applicants wishing to obtain a master's degree at DKU.
"Studying at the Kazakh-German University will provide me with a unique opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of integrated water resources management, and I am sure that the knowledge and skills I have gained will help me build a successful career and make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of our region," says applicant Nurberdy Atayev.
Mergen Kepbanov, Director of the CAREC Project Office in Turkmenistan, gave valuable guidance to future students and wished them good luck in upcoming interviews, emphasizing the importance of knowledge and education in the modern world. He invited candidates to actively participate in educational programs, develop critical thinking and strive for continuous self-development. Mergen Kepbanov also noted that the constant updating of knowledge and skills will help to be ready for the challenges of modern society.
Mergen Kepbanov noted that such initiatives contribute to the development of youth and open up new horizons for professional and personal growth.
"The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, which allowed the candidates to ask their questions and get comprehensive answers," Mergen Kepbanov said.
Turkmen youth are actively involved in various platforms dedicated to environmental protection, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and climate change. They regularly participate in seminars organized by UNDP and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, as well as in youth conferences on climate change and sustainable development.
The CAREC Project Office in Turkmenistan plays a key role in coordinating and supporting youth initiatives. It is actively working to ensure that young professionals can participate in significant projects, share experience and knowledge, as well as contribute to the sustainable development of the region. To this end, the CAREC project office in Turkmenistan pays great attention to raising awareness among young people and cooperates with various organizations.
