Publication date: 12 September 2025

From September 15 to 19, 2025, the 15th Anniversary Central Asian Leadership Programme (CALP) will take place in Almaty, organized by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC). CALP is an educational platform for young professionals from Central Asia and Afghanistan, aimed at developing leadership and communication skills in the field of sustainable development.

The programme combines expert lectures, interactive trainings, practical simulations, and media workshops, where participants will strengthen their skills in public speaking, strategic communication, environmental diplomacy, and working with information.

The main goal of CALP is to prepare a new generation of leaders capable of effectively addressing environmental challenges in the region, countering disinformation, and promoting cooperation for a sustainable future.

The programme will also provide an important opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange, bringing together young professionals, representatives of government bodies, NGOs, and international organizations.

The 15th CALP is organized by CAREC with the financial support of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana, the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) within the framework of the Blue Peace project, as well as in partnership with the Kazakh-German University (DKU).
