On October 19-23 the Third Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC 2020) will be held online. The conference is organized is organized under the framework of the “Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program for the Aral Sea Basin” (CAMP4ASB) and is a continuation of the World Bank’s initiative on climate change knowledge and regional information exchange in Central Asia launched in 2013.
This event is dedicated to the climate change which is driven directly and indirectly by human activities, causing changes in the global atmosphere and observed throughout comparable periods of time.
CACCC 2020 will take place 5 days, 3 hours daily with conducting the following thematic sessions:
1. Science and research perspectives on climate change in times of COVID-19;
2. Climate change impacts and policy making process in times of COVID-19;
3. Climate-related information and knowledge: challenges and perspectives;
4. Financing climate change actions (2 days).
The publications with presentations of speakers are disseminated prior the event for the preliminary introduction of thematic sessions and content of speeches.

Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program for Aral Sea Basin or CAMP4ASB is implemented by CAREC and financed by the World Bank. Project aims to enhance regionally coordinated access to improved climate change knowledge services for key stakeholders (e.g., policy makers, communities, and civil society) in participating Central Asian countries as well as to increased investments and capacity building that, combined, will address climate challenges common to these countries.CAMP4ASB is implemented in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan during the period from 2016 to 2021.
