On March 19 of this year, a new orchard was established on an area of 100 hectares in the “Dashti Bolo” area of the Pokhut village of the Ayni district. According to the plan, 15000 apple trees were planted on 30 hectares, 10000 apricot trees on 20 hectares, 13320 cherry trees on 20 hectares, 16660 jujube trees on 20 hectares, and 8,330 acacia trees on 10 hectares, making a total of 63,310 trees. In accordance with the plan for the activities of the Falghar forestry zone, 100 hectares of the above-mentioned orchard were distributed to the residents of the Pokhut, Sayron, and Fatmovut villages within the framework of a joint forest management agreement in the “Dashti Bolo” area of the Pokhut village, and the residents of these villages generously contributed to its construction. With the creation of the garden, more than 695 rural households mentioned above will be provided with land, gardens and permanent jobs.
During the construction of the new garden, on the instructions of the Chairman of the Ayni District, collective hashars are constantly organized and held.
It is worth noting that under the leadership of the Director of the Center for the Implementation of Investment Projects of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Muhibullo Junaidzoda and Chairman of the District, Ruziboy Rahimzoda, together with the other partners, a tree planting campaign was organized, in which a wide range of residents and employees of organizations and institutions were involved. During the planting campaign, at the suggestion of the Chairman of the District, the newly built garden was named “Barakat”, which all these improvements stem from the fruits of Independence and the constructive and blessed policy of the Great Leader of the Nation.
It should also be noted that in the near future, another 56 hectares of parks and lands planned for Tajikistan Resilient Landscape Restoration Project will be created on the lands of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Ayni district. It should be noted that the “Barakat” park has been fenced off by this Project, and its irrigation works are ongoing.
