The most active participants of the quiz received memorable gifts.

The event was held jointly with the Naurzum State Nature Reserve with the support of the Scientific Research Center for Ecology and Biology of A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University.

The organizers of the event also told about the lakes of the Naurzum Reserve, which were included in the Ramsar list on July 12, 2009.

World Wetlands Day is celebrated every year on February 2. It marks the day when the "Convention on Wetlands" was adopted in the Iranian city of Ramsar back in 1971. The Convention was signed in order to protect wetlands of national and global importance that are in urge of degradation.

CAREC implements the “Ramsar Regional Initiative for Central Asia” project in the partnership with the Ramsar Convention Secretariat under the financial support of German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
