Climate change projections and hydrological impacts assessment of small transboundary rivers in Central Asia
Climate change can significantly affect small transboundary river basins in Central Asia. In particular, by 2050 the hydrological regime of rivers will change with an increase in runoff in spring and decrease in the late-vegetation period. These changes, in turn, will have an impact on agricultural activities and the risks of natural disasters. Such conclusions were made in the results of climate modeling of the Aspara and Isfara rivers conducted by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) within the framework of CAMP4ASB project.
