KG RESILAND. Production Training on Potato Chip Manufacturing Held in Mangyt Village within OVOP

Osh Region, Mangyt Village — A production training on potato chip manufacturing was conducted in the village of Mangyt under the “One Village – One Product” (OVOP) initiative.

Participants were trained in potato chip production, including raw material preparation, with particular attention to the basic principles of market positioning.

Such trainings contribute to strengthening local entrepreneurship, increasing rural incomes, and creating sustainable economic models in the regions.

The initiative is being implemented as part of the Kyrgyz Republic Resilient Landscape Restoration Project — the RESILAND CA+ Program (KG RESILAND), with support from project partners.

The Kyrgyz Republic Resilient Landscape Restoration Project is part of the World Bank’s RESILAND CA+ program, aimed at strengthening landscape resilience across Central Asian countries. Similar national and regional activities are also being implemented in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) implements the regional component of the Kyrgyz Republic Resilient Landscape Restoration Project.
