Why? Inform the international community about the efforts undertaken by the countries of Europe and Central Asia towards a low-carbon development path and climate-resilient future. Side-event will bring on board lead experts and policy-makers to present their countries’ ambitions on climate mitigation and adaptation in times of a new Global Climate Agreement and discuss the evolution of their national policies tacking climate impacts at the national and community-based levels. REC and CAREC will share their insights on challenges and opportunities the countries of Europe and Central Asia would likely have beyond Paris-2015.
