The Samsung Innovation Service Academy project is a Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia strategic social project aimed at providing additional education for college students, helping to solve youth employment problems and promoting new standards for training qualified personnel in the service industry of the target countries. The project was implemented in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan; it is a unique opportunity to exchange experience and effective solutions in the field of secondary specialized and vocational education and the development of green skills and competences among college graduates. The subject of the project corresponds to the policy of Uzbekistan in the field of promotion of IT-technologies in the system of secondary vocational education and employment of graduates.

  • Provision of technical and methodological support to the system of secondary vocational education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of improving the technical skills of students and graduates of vocational and technical educational institutions specializing in IT technologies and electronic engineering.

  • Improving the level of training and development of competences of technical college teachers.

  • Raising awareness about green technologies, energy conservation and energy efficiency, and environmental approaches in education.

Students and teachers of the Tashkent Professional College of Information Technology (TPCIT)

  • Equipping the training class and the Samsung equipment repair lab (TV and HHP), developing training modules and courses, testing and approving them, as well as launching Samsung Service Academy classes at the level of the pilot college - ТПКИТ in Uzbekistan.

  • On May 5-6, 2015, a regional expert meeting of representatives of pilot colleges, Samsung and specialists of CAREC was held at CAREC (Almaty, Kazakhstan) to discuss the priorities and needs of vocational and technical educational institutions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, specializing in IT-technologies and promoting on the part of the project for the technical equipment of pilot colleges.

  • On June 6, 2015, an introductory Round Table and a presentation of the project in Uzbekistan were organized in Tashkent, with the participation of Samsung, representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, CAREC, ТПКИТ, the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan, partners and the media. At this event, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed and a press briefing was held for media representatives.
