General information

The project “For the Provision of Services for Resource Efficiency Scoping Assessments and Low-Carbon Guidance for Large Companies in Kazakhstanaims to support major industrial enterprises in adopting resource-efficient and cleaner production (RECP) practices and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 

The primary objective of the project is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of resource use within enterprises and to develop practical recommendations for optimizing industrial processes and reducing emissions.

Goals and objectives:

1. Conduct a survey and preliminary assessment of large industrial enterprises in Kazakhstan to analyze the current level of resource efficiency.

2. Based on the survey data, conduct a resource efficiency analysis at selected enterprises.

3. Develop practical action plans for enterprises, including measures for optimizing production processes, managing GHG emissions, and integrating environmentally friendly technologies

4. Conduct capacity-building activities by training specialists in REAP tools, material flow cost accounting (MFCA), and best practices for low-carbon production.
