
The Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia opens registration for the 15th Central Asian Leadership Programme (CALP) on Environment for Sustainable Development. Registration will run from 02 June to 02 July. To register, please go to https://calp.carececo.org/
The programme invites young professionals from civil society organisations, governmental organisations and academia from the five Central Asian countries to participate.
The 15th CALP will take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from 15 to 19 September. The programme is organised in co-operation with the the OSCE Programme Office in Astana, the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan and The The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The programme will be mainly focused on developing professional skills in public speaking, strategic communication, and countering misinformation. Special attention will be given to training participants in audience engagement techniques and effective media interaction. Participants will gain hands-on experience in conducting interviews, participating in press conferences, and preparing meaningful and persuasive statements that resonate with their target audience.
The overarching goal of the 15th CALP is to empower, develop effective communication and public speaking skills, and inspire young professionals from Central Asia to become influential leaders in the field of environmental change. By providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills and networks, CALP aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders capable of addressing climate change and promoting regional co-operation to create a sustainable and environmentally conscious future in Central Asia.
Participation in the programme is free of charge. The selection is competitive and for government officials through nominations. All expenses related to participation in the 15th CALP are covered by the organizers.
