Development of Environmental Management Infrastructure in Tajikistan. New Office of the CoEP

Dushanbe – Tajikistan – October 30, 2025 - As part of a working visit to Dushanbe, the directors of the country offices of the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) visited the new building of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The visit was attended by the Director of the CAREC office in Kazakhstan, Yerlan Zhumabayev, in Kyrgyzstan, Kuban Matraimov, the Director of the Project Office in Turkmenistan, Mergen Kepbanov, and the Director of the Office in Tajikistan, Zebuniso Muminzoda.

During the visit, a meeting was held with Sino Tokhirzoda, Director of the National Center for the Implementation of the Paris Agreement of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairperson of the CAREC Board of Governors. The parties discussed current cooperation and prospective areas of collaboration in environmental protection and regional sustainable development.

The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The participants emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships and exchanging experience among the countries of Central Asia.
